Favourite Books

Here is just a selection of the many wonderful books I've read. Walking around my head in a book hasn't been an entirely innocuous pastime.

Many years ago, doing just that with one book (Famous Five and the Golden Galleon- 'borrowed' from my sister without her knowledge) was my downfall- literally. I was reading the book on the way into assembly and up onto my chair on a table to my place in the choir. My concentration was on the far more exciting adventures of those four children and dog, so I didn't notice the chair legs weren't quite on the table...the end result, a fractured wrist!

But that hasn't stopped me. I will read pretty much anything from science fiction and fantasy to romance and most things inbetween (whatever they are).

A selection of books I have recently enjoyed

A Girl's Guide to Kissing Frogs - Victoria Clayton The Memory Keeper's Daughter- Kim Edwards The Mars Chronicles- Kim Stanley Robinson
Grasshopper - Barbara Vine The Wild Card - Beth Elliott Coastliners - Joanne Harris Rebecca - Daphne Du Maurier
The Time Traveller's Wife- Audrey Niffenegger The Dark Tower series (all seven) - Stephen King Gone with the Wind - Margaret Mitchell
One Night Stand- Julie Cohen The Women's Room- Marylin French Kartography - Kamila Shamsie Body Surfing- Anita Shrieve
One Flew Over the Cuckoo's Nest- Ken Kesy Bridges of Madison County - Robert James Waller I Did a Bad Thing- Linda Evans
Addiction- Toni Jordan Angel- Colleen McCullough Dead Sexy- Tate Halloway Rebecca's Tale - Sally Beaumont
The Love of her Life - Harriet Evans
