The church of Christ at Joaquin is not a part of any denomination (1 Cor. 1:10-13). We are simply a local body of Christians (1 Cor.1:2) who meet together to worship the Lord (Acts 20:7) and who do God's work together (1 Tim.5:16) with contribution given on a free will basis by members each first day of the week (1 Cor.16:1,2). We follow no human creeds or doctrines (Rev.22:18,19) but we do follow Christ and His word (Eph.1:22,23 ; 2 Tim.3:16,17). We strive to give scriptural authority for all we believe and teach, as well as do. (Col.3:16,17 ; 2 Jn 9). We speak where the Bible speaks, and are silent where the Bible is silent. Our worship is not according to human tradition (Matt.15:7-9) but in spirit and truth (John 4:23,24). Members of the church are expected to live holy lives (1 Peter 1:15,16 ; 1 Cor.5). Our one hope and diamond desire of our heart is a home in heaven. (Eph.4:4 ; 1 Peter 1:3-5).
