10: Reflection
Objective:
Students will reflect on what they learned during this unit
by responding to a writing prompt.
Materials:
Paper, Pencils
North Adams Elementary Writing Rubric
Procedure:
Students will use the writing process (plan/brainstorm,
prewriting, proofread, publish) and refer to North Adams Elementary
Writing Rubric while responding to the following writing prompt(s).
1. What traits do you look for in a friend? Fully describe each
trait and explain why each is important to developing friendships.
Which of these traits are strengths for you and which ones do
you feel you need to strengthen?
2. Think about a time when you had an argument with a friend.
Describe the argument and explain how employing conflict resolution
techniques may have changed the outcome of the argument.
3. How can we make a positive change at Brayton School? Consider
a plan of action you and your classmates could take to share
the lessons you have learned in this unit with the school community.
Your plan must:
-- include information on conflict resolution and positive character
traits
--be fully explained
--include the steps you would follow to implement it
