Meg: Our connection runs so deep that it was like we knew each other before we even met. We were soul mates from the beginning, Ben.

Ben: That's right, Meg. Trust your instincts. Please, God, don't let her sleep with that murderer.

[ I am sorry, but I'll DIE if I don't say something here. The whole DEED experience was very painful and heart-wrecking experience to me. I just couldn't take all that pain I saw on Ben's face as he refused to look away during The Deed. I was devastated. Then, I re-watched this particular scene, which had taken place a bit earlier than The Deed. And I was just so overwhelmed by what Ben said. Any other man would be dying because of the sole reason that his beloved is making love to someone else. And I'm sure that added to Ben's devastation. But it wasn't the only reason. Not the most important one. It wasn't the jealousy that wretched Ben's heart. It was the awareness that the woman he loves more than life itself unknowingly slept with a psychopathic murderer and that this experience was not only painful for her, but it would scar her forever. Ben just took my breath away with this sentence, begging God to stop this, not for his sake, but for Meg's sake. And the realization of how strongly Ben must love Meg to worry about her in such moment left me dumbstruck. I thought I knew how much he loved her. I was wrong.]

Derek: Don't you wanna be with me, Meg?
Meg: Ben, of course I do. I miss everything about us. Not... Not just making love, but being able to look into each other's eyes and without saying a word knowing that we were meant for each other.

Meg: Ben, I'll always love you. A lot of things may change in the world, but that'll never change.

Ben: You'll never win, you know.
Derek: Oh, but I already have. Five years ago to be exact.
Ben: Why? Because I lost my wife at sea?

Ben: Really? Seems like it's highly probable to me if last night's any indication.
Derek: You haven't the faintest idea what you're talking about.
Ben: You can pretend all you want. You can go through all the emotions. You can even marry her if she lets you, but you'll NEVER share what Meg and I have.

Meg:(Derek is all over her and Meg loathes it) Look, why don't we have some champagne? To get us in the mood.
Derek: I thought we already were in the mood. [You thought wrong]

Ben: DON'T touch her. Take your bloody hands OFF her. I said: DON'T TOUCH HER!!!!!!!!

Ben:(to Derek) I am gonna kill you if it's the last thing I do.

Meg:  We both know that this day is really hard for Ben and in the past it's made him do some pretty unpredictable things.
Ricardo: You call torching Maria's studio unpredictable?

Ricardo: I am great because I care for Eddie's murder and I wanna bring in the guy who did it.
Meg: Well, if you think that that guy is Ben, then you are the one who is crazy.

Meg:(to Sara) Before, there was always this connection when we made love. It was almost spiritual. I... It's really hard for me to describe, but it was always there and it wasn't hard to feel.

Meg: Ben is such a nice guy. He does all of these nice things for me just to make me happy.
Sara: I know, you wrote me about them. And I got this picture of him in my head.
Meg: A good one I hope.
Sara: Yeah, the minute I met him I knew he was everything you said. And more. And gorgeous. I mean: WOW!

Casey:(to unconscious Ben) God, Ben, come on. Don't die on me, all right? Don't die on Meg.

Meg: (to unconscious Ben in the hospital) Ben, it's back. The connection that we always had, it's back. I can feel it. And I know you can, too. You're gonna be fine. You have to be. We have too much to live for for you to leave me now. We have that big wedding planned and all those kids we wanna have. And growing old. You don't wanna miss that, do you?

Meg: (to Ben in the hospital)  Look, there is something that I need to tell you. Lately, I've felt like there's been something missing with us. But now I look at you I know I was wrong. The connection that we had, I thought that it had lost it's spark. But I was wrong. It's here. It's strong.

Sara: I think it's unfair how everyone just falls over her all the time.
Joan: Like who?
Sara: Like everyone! Tim, Ben, Casey. I bet if Derek were still alive he'd probably be crazy about her, too, and they'd both be fighting for her.

Annie: Knowing Ben for so many years I do have privileges. I mean, who's closer to Ben than me?
Sara: Oh, how about his fiancee?

Annie: Oh, Mrs. Cummings, Mr. Cummings. I haven't seen you since...
Hank: You haven't seen us since you came by the farm spreading feathers from your mini skirt and trying to steal Ben from our daughter.[This is what I call father-in -law!]

Meg: (Ben is still unconscious) Ben, you have to get better. Please, for me. I... I need you. You can't leave me now, not when our connection is so strong again. Please, Ben, please, come back to me.

Meg:(Ben opens his eyes...) I knew you would come back to me. I should have known you'd never leave me.

Derek: Cops. They are so predictable.

Meg: Did you hear what Tyus said? He said that you were gonna be fine. Even if he didn't say so, I know you know I'm here and you feel that connection that we have. I am so sorry I ever doubted you, Ben. I promise you, I never will again. I will keep you in my heart forever. Just like I always have. [Did you cry, too?]

Meg: I just can't leave him now, you know, I just wanna be the first person he sees when he opens his eyes.
Sara: You're not still feeling guilty, are you? For doubting Ben the other day when you made love?
Meg: No, no, I just can't imagine why I didn't feel that connection with him, when I feel it so strongly now.
Sara: Ever since when?
Meg: Since I first saw him here in the hospital. I knew that he was the man I always, always loved and our connection so strong I know that that is what's gonna pull him through.

Meg: Everyone's right. Ben is fine. I guess I just overreacted.
Casey: You love him, Meg. You have every right to worry about him. Do you wanna stay here with him?
Meg: No, he needs to rest. Besides, once the pill wears off and he comes to, I'm never gonna leave his side again.

Diane:(to unconscious Ben) When they brought you in, you'd already gone to that big romance novel in the sky.

Meg: Now, nurse Meg says that you need lots of TLC. So, I'm gonna wait on you hand and foot until you are back to your old self.
Derek: You know, no one has ever cared for me the way you have.
Meg:(she kisses him ) Well, maybe that's because no one has loved you like I have.

Sara: Well, I'm glad I got to meet the "walks-on-water" Ben finally.

Meg:(to Gabi) What am I supposed to say to him? That I feel different? IT feels different? I mean, come on, it's probably just me, you know? I can't believe I'm telling you all this. It sounds crazy because I love him more than ANYTHING.

Meg: Maybe going away to the cabin will be for the best, you know, some peace and quiet. Maybe it will bring us back to where we were.
Gabi: I hope you're right.
Meg: I have to be. Ben's my destiny. I mean, the first time I saw him on the far side of the pier I knew that he was the man that I would spend the rest of my life with, and I am not gonna let anything get in our way again.

Derek: Well, Ma'am, I really appreciate your taking care of this tonight. It's being late and all.
Diane: Well, we do our best work at night. You know, the witching hour.

Derek:(to Casey) Yeah, I feel the need to go somewhere where people aren't constantly intruding in my space, if you know what I mean... [That was SUBTLE!!! LOL!!! But, I must admit Derek's right. I mean , if I was annoyed by Casey's constant intruding, I can only suspect how it ticked off Derek!!! I mean, remember Casey's flashback about Meg? PHULEEZE!!! You keep off her, Casey!]

Derek: If a cell phone rings in the woods, does anyone hear it?

Meg: I want you to get into bed right now.
Derek: That's what I was trying to do.
Meg: I've noticed.

Diane:(brings Ben a bouquet) I killed them just for you. Aren't they beautiful?
Ben: Gorgeous.

Meg: Look, if things don't get better then we'll gonna see Tyus immediately and see if there's something we can do to help with your memory. Please, until then, you've got to level with me.
Derek: Level with you?
Meg: When you don't remember things, Ben, I wanna help you, more than anything I wanna help you. But I can't unless you're honest with me. I want the old Ben back. Whole. Without anything missing. So, please, promise me you'll do this, promise us.
Derek: I promise. You really care, don't you?
Meg: Of course I care. More than you will ever know.

Derek:(turns around and sees Meg wrapped in a towel only) What's this?
Meg: Well, do I have to spell it out for you?

Derek: Before we were interrupted you were gonna show me something.
Meg: Oh, that's right, I... I was. (drops the towel) This.

Diane: Oh, look at you, Steele. You're even more handsome on your feet.

Ben: I am NOT the Steele person from your book!
Diane: Don't deny it, Steele. Don't deny what we have.
Ben: Listen, Evangeline, you need help. And I promise I'll get you some therapy.

Diane: (to unconscious Ben) I don't even think you're listening to me!

Meg: What's he done with Ben? I know he's not dead, I can feel it!

The Discovery:
Meg: Oh my God. Oh my God, no! Ben, NO!!! NO!!! This can't be Ben's ashes. No this... This can't be. I know it was Ben in the hospital, I know it was him! We... We had a connection and it was so strong and... But then he woke up and it was gone. God, it must have been when Derek switched places with him and then and then he... (looks inside the urn) No... "Cremation order for John Doe, 32028, South Bay General Hospital, June second..." June... June second... That's when I felt the change, that's when I.... GOD, NO!!!! BEN!!! NO!!! BEN!!! NO!!! NO!!!

Meg: I can't believe that these are Ben's ashes... We were supposed to be together... We were supposed to have a wonderful life together. I've never, ever, ever, EVER loved anyone like I loved him. From the first moment I saw him...

Meg: I can't believe I'll never... I'll never see him again. What has Derek done to you? What has he done?

Meg: You killed the only man I truly loved and you're gonna suffer. Just like I am suffering.

Ben suggests to Diane that their death is a special occasion and there should be some kind of ceremony. She cuts their wrists and mixes their blood...
Ben: This isn't quite what I had in mind.

Derek: How can I deny you?
Meg: You've already done so much to me. [And there was steel in her voice and poison in her words and so much pain in her eyes...]

Meg: Oh, Ben. This can't be all that's left of you. Come on, you can't do this now. I have to stay really strong. I'm gonna see that monster pay if it's the last thing I ever do.

Ricardo: Tim told me you pushed him off that scaffolding, among other things.
Ben: Look, I know that's what he thinks, but it wasn't me! It was Derek.
Ricardo: Derek?
Ben: Derek. I have an identical twin.
Ricardo: Oh, man... Evans, give me some credit for having a bit of inteligence!!!

Meg: (to Derek) Yes, I KNOW! I know that Ben is dead and that you killed him!

Ben: If Meg knows I have a twin and she's full of suspisions, which I know she must be living with that psyhopath...

Ben: Well, last time Derek tried to kill me -  and he already knows I am dead - I wake up in some mortuary and I ended up being prisoner again, this time by some rather disturbed mortician, who decided I was her hero from a romance novel.
Ricardo: Oh, Evans, man, you almost had me going!!!

Ben: Look, Ricardo, take me in handcuffs or leg irons if you like to wherever Derek's holding Meg and see for yourself!

Ben:(as the police lock him up) Look, you are making a mistake, Ricardo...! You're making a mistake that could cost Meg her life!!!

Ben: Now, I've gotta get up to this cabin and you've gotta help me. Please, Gabi, look at me. Do you know how much I love Meg? You know I'd never harm her. Please, let me get to her. Before it's too late.

Meg: You killed Ben. You killed everyone on the island. How can you be so twisted? How can you cause SO MUCH pain?
Derek: Well, now it's all over I guess you deserve the truth. You think I'm twisted, do you? Well, you have your dear departed Ben to thank for that.
Meg: What do you mean?
Derek: Oh, he was always the good one. Had all the compliments, the praise, the attention. Mother loved him best, so did the teachers at school and the girls. Everyone loved brother Ben. But why, huh? We're exactly the same.[Oh, PHULEEZE!!!]We're the same and then he comes out here and he gets all this and all I ever had was nothing!!! Till I finally decided to strike back. Oh, yeah, did I hit the bull's eye. Oh, poor Ben, he was so stunned by the idea that his beloved Maria could ever cheat on him. But it got better. Oh, yeah. After Maria died he crawled into a shell that was more painful than hell could ever be. And it was beautiful! I'd finally done it.
Meg: Done what?
Derek: Shown everyone who was better, of course. That's when I came up with my plan. Years, YEARS I'd be planning this. Then what happens? You come along. Yeah, you come along and ruin everything. You see, I suddenly realized while I was officially dead that the only way to be Ben at his own game was to become Ben. And the only thing that was standing on my way of accomplishing that was you.
Meg: Why me?
Derek: Well, you could have seen the differences between us. You could have at any time. That's why you had to be taken care of. But how? And then you and your nosy friends decided to take a trip to that island. It was perfect.
Meg: Poor Mark...
Derek: To hell with Mark, he had to die anyway, he was the only one who knew Ben well enough. The others, well, they just got in the way. But they served a purpose. I mean, I've made it look like there was some psycho on the loose. Until I finally realized that the only way of really get to Ben, his life, his money, his happiness, was to have you.
Meg: You are sick! You are so incredibly sick! What did Ben ever do to you?
Derek: Well, why don't you ask him? You're about to be reunited with him for eternity!

Derek: I can't. I can't do this to you. I love you, Meg.

Derek: Yeah. It wasn't the plan.
Meg: And what was the plan?
Derek: To kill you. On the island. But your damn friends got in the way. So I followed you back to Sunset Beach to finish the job.
Meg: But you didn't.
Derek: I couldn't. You were so damn good to me. You see, no one ever treated  me the way you have.  You listened to me. You understood me. You believed in me. No matter what. And I... And I never knew what love was. Meg. Until you came into my life. I don't want you to die.

Gabi: He (Ben) was scared that if the police showed up that De...
Antonio: That he would kill Meg.
Ricardo: So, you guys think that gave you the right to take things into your own hands?
Gabi: Look, Ricardo, we had no other choice. If you would've seen the look on Ben's face, he was scared to death for Meg!
Antonio: I've never seen him like that before.
Gabi: He loves her. And he would do anything for her. He would risk his own life. Is that so hard to understand?

Meg: Ben. You're alive.
Derek: Impossible.
Ben: Never say die, brother.

Ben: Meg? Meg? Do you hear me? It's me, it's Ben. Open your eyes. Meg? Meg? Meg!!!( he kisses her tenderly and that's all it takes to bring her back...)
Meg: Ben...
Ben: I'm here, Meg. I'm right here.
Meg: Ben...
Ben: Hey, hey... it's over, Meg. Now it's finally over. (they kiss...) Hey... ( and he shelters her in his arms...)[You know, it was SO good  to hear this "HEY" again. Derek can't "hey". Only Ben can "hey". ]

Ben: When I heard you've gone away with Derek I almost lost my mind.
Meg: What happened? He said that he... That he killed you. How did you get away from him?
Ben: Hey... [You see? Here he heys again. I love this man.] It's a long story. I'll tell you everything, but later. Let me just hold you.
Meg: Oh, God, it feels so good to be back in your arms. Ben, I promise.... when Derek was pretending to be you I... I knew something was wrong. I did.
Ben: Well, when Derek was holding me prisoner the only thing keeping me alive was knowing I had to rescue you.
Meg: And you did.
Ben: Yeah. And we're together now. And Derek is not gonna hurt either of us again. Can you walk Meg? We should get out of here.
Meg: Yeah, I'm fine. I just feel so safe in your arms. I don't want you to let me go.
Ben: Well, how about his? I'm gonna keep you safe for the rest of our lives.

Ben: Now, I don't wanna leave you, Meg, but I gotta go after him.
Meg: No, please, Ben, don't, don't, don't... I couldn't stand that if anything happened to you!

Derek: Do I sense some lack of trust there?
Ben: Derek, shut up!
Meg: Ben, listen to me, listen to me. If anyone should die here it shoul be me!
Ben: No, Meg! I love you, if there's a chance to save you, I'll take it.
Meg: Ben, if you die, my life would be nothing!

Derek: So, what do you think of your precious Ben now, huh? Now that you know what really happened that night? You love him? A man like that?
Meg: I will NEVER believe that Ben let Maria die on purpose. Never!
Derek: Well, he did. He doesn't deserve your love. But you're gonna keep on loving him anyway, aren't you? So there's only one thing left to do.

Derek: You're safe!
Ben: Meg, thank God!
Meg: (looking at Ben) Ben?
Ben: That's right. It's me. Ben.
Derek: Don't listen to him. I'm Ben!
Meg: One of you is lying.
Derek: He is!
Ben: Don't believe him.
Meg: This isn't happening. This isn't happening.
Derek: Meg, listen to me. He's Derek. I'm Ben.
Ben: Meg... Dorothy... It's SB.
Derek: Don't let Derek...
Ben: Trust your instincts, Meg. They won't fail you.
Derek: Listen! Only Ben would know about all the things we've shared, yes? Our passion for Venice. Your favourite white roses. Strawberries, my favourite?
Ben: What about the Internet, Meg? Derek wouldn't know what it was like when we fell in love, how we knew over thousand miles that we were meant for each other.

Ben: I just can't believe how close I came to loosing you. Fighting against the odds so many times.
Meg: We beat them all.
Ben: Yeah, we did. What I'm saying is I want you to know, from now on I am not gonna let you out of my sight, Meg. Trust me. Nothing, absolutely nothing is ever gonna come between us again.
