Standing Rules of the Pilot Club of Lawrenceburg

A:   Meetings

The Pilot Club of Lawrenceburg shall meet at a place selected by the club on the second Thursday of each month at 6:00pm for a business and/or program meeting.

The Executive Board shall meet monthly, prior to the club meeting, at a time and place decided upon by the Executive Board.

At the request of the District governor (in order to arrange the itinerary or for other reasons), the regular meeting date may be changed by recommendation of the Executive Board.
B:   Officers, Elections and Terms of Service

The officers of the Pilot Club of Lawrenceburg shall be President, President-Elect, Vice President, Secretary, Treasurer, and two (2) Directors.  These officers, except the Directors, shall be elected annually for terms of one year, and shall serve a term of one year.  Directors will serve for a two year term.  The Immediate Past President will serve as a third Director.

Vacancies in office, other than President and President-Elect, shall be filled for the unexpired term by appointment by the President with the approval of the Executive Board.  A vacancy in the office of President will be filled by the President-Elect. A vacancy in the office of President-Elect will be filled by club election within thirty days.

An initiation fee shall accompany acceptance to membership in the Pilot Club of Lawrenceburg, which covers the initiation fee to Pilot International.

Annual dues for active and privileged members are payable in advance before July 1st each year.  These annual dues include Pilot International Dues, PI Liability Insurance and Tennessee District dues.

The dues for active membership of $10.00 per month shall be paid monthly in advance.  Members on leave shall pay $5.45 monthly.

Each member is encouraged to attend all regular meetings of the club, and meetings of a division or special committee to which they are assigned, and to participate in the service projects and fund raising of the club.

Any member unable to attend a meeting in accordance with the bylaws shall report the reason for nonattendance to the secretary within three days.

Perfect attendance will be recognized at the end of the club year.  To establish perfect attendance, a member must attend every club meeting, or in the alternative make up absences by attending local club fund raisers, a regular meeting of another Pilot Club, and Anchor Club meeting, International Convention (2 make ups), District Convention
(2 make ups), District Convention (2 make ups), or Fall Council (1 make up).  Makeup  meetings allowed may not constitute more than 4 absences in a club year.
F:   Representation at Conventions and Meetings

The delegate to the International Convention will be the club President.  The alternate will be the President-Elect.  If neither of these officers can attend the convention; the club will elect a delegate.

The International Convention registration, transportation at the lesser of the current district mileage rate or coach fare, per diem at the established Pilot International rate (excluding meals included in registration), and the cost of one hotel room for the duration of the convention, will be paid by the club.  Any person other than the delegate and/or alternate who occupies the hotel room provided will pay a prorated share of the cost of
the room.
