This is the view looking south from the Kowloon waterfront at the Central District on Hong Kong Island. It is quite an impressive view. The tallest building on the left side is the Bank of China building. It has 70 floors and is apparently still one of the 10 tallest buildings in the world (and, as I am sure you notice, there are a couple more in this shot that are not far behind). A funny thing happened at the waterfront... An interesting thing happened as I was taking these pictures--I was minding my own business when a man in a turban walked up to me and said I was "very lucky" today. He then wrote something on a piece of paper, crumpled it up, and told me to put it in my pocket... Continued
