ALEX AS THE DEVIL
No one would argue to say that Alex DeLarge is not a cruel person.  He inflicts pain on innocent people, fantasizes about death and destruction, and finds nothing wrong with brutally raping women.  Alex does not seem to possess any natural goodness at all.  Could one say that he is a devil?

The devil is represented in many ways in many films.  It can be portrayed as a human, a beast, or a spiritual entity.  This sometimes causes a sense of confusion in Christianity when it comes to the devil.  Due to this wide range of inconsistent portrayals, filmmakers can illustrate a devil character however they wish.

Alex can be seen as a devil.  He is very cruel, has no respect for religion, Jesus Christ, God, or the Bible, and seems to enjoy doing evil things.  These characteristics are similar to that of the devil.
Alex feels euphoria while inflicting pain on others
P.R. Deltoid, Alex's post-corrective advisor, questions if the devil is the root of Alex's behavior.

"What gets into you all?  We've been studying the problem for damn well near a century, but we get no further with our studies.  You got a good home here.  Good, loving parents.  You've got not too bad of a brain.  Is it some devil that crawls inside of you?" - P.R. Deltoid
Stanley Kubrick may have tried to slip in a subtle hint that he feels Alex is the devil.  In the scene where Georgie and Dim arrest Alex and bring him to a remote place to torture him, the two officers are shown wearing the numbers 665 and 667.  Alex is placed in between the two.  Would this make him 666?
Although there is no direct evidence that Alex is the devil, the two share many simialr characteristics throughout the film.
