Josh Marantz

Josh Marantz has extensive experience in the Arts, which include 6 years as Director,
programming and communications at the Calgary Centre for Performing Arts. He was involved with developing the first annual Calgary International Film Festival, where he lead the organization for 2 years from its inception to opening night. His diversity of experience ranges from writing and performing in over 40 CBC radio and television presentations and numerous stage productions, counseling troubled youths, owning and operating a restaurant/comedy club and playing in a rock fusion band. From April 2003 to August 2006, Josh was responsible for booking all the artists and was the owner of the Ironwood Stage and Grill, an award winning live music, food and beverage operation in Calgary. Josh currently owns and operates two other companies, "Marantz Productions" which was created in May, 1997 and Tunzen Music Publishing since 2000. Marantz Productions is involved with artist management, concert, CD, video, film and event production, graphic arts and performing arts consulting. Tunzen Music is a music publishing company. Josh applies aspects of each unique experience to his current situation.

Andrea Marantz
Biography

Andrea Marantz works with words. For twelve years she was employed by CBC radio � on local, regional and national programs, both behind the scenes and in front of the microphone. "Mountaintop Music: the Artists", a book featuring sixteen of her radio interviews, was published in 2000. As an arts journalist, Andrea has worked in radio, television and in print. As a screenwriter, she has written episodes for television series airing on Discovery and The Food Network. As a media relations specialist, Andrea has consulted and acted as spokesperson for community, regional and national organizations. As a performer, she has recorded a spoken word CD, narrated corporate videos and a short film, moderated public panels, hosted numerous public events and won two awards for acting. Andrea has hosted the opening and closing events for the Calgary International Word Fest for each of its 12 years. Andrea recently (Sept./07) accepted a full time position with the Western Canadian Lottery Corporation as "Media Manager". Andrea Marantz has two newly adult children, and lives with her husband, a standard poodle and a little black cat. Andrea Marantz is occassionally available on a freelance basis for writing, performing and media relations work.
