Command Philosophy:

1.  Command is not privilege but a responsibility.  A responsibility that I take very seriously, Bravo Company you will train hard and fight hard.

2.  My Command Philosophy is by no means original.  It is borrowed heavily from the FM 22-100 Leadership, and is steeped deeply in the ARMY VALUES, the Attributes, Skills, and Actions of Leadership, the Command Philosophy of CPT John Stone, Commander of A/3-7 (M), 3rd Infantry Division (M), and the Command Philosophy of our Battalion Commander, Bandit 6, LTC Thomas E. Beron.

3.  Ours is the profession of WARFIGHTING, AND WARFIGHTING will always be our focus as individual soldiers and as a company.  With this focus, we will be poised to accomplish the toughest missions in combat as well as any and all missions we will be assigned in peacetime.

I believe in four basic principles as the basis for all ready and trained units:

Leadership, Discipline, Proficiency, and Teamwork.

       a.       LEADERSHIP: What I expect from all leaders in this company:

-Lead from the front. Leaders share hardship and share success.

-Lead by example in the areas of Weapons Qualification, Physical Fitness, and Military Bearing.

-Display genuine concern for the welfare of those in your charge.

-Maintain a warfighting mentality.  Plan on being in combat tomorrow.

b.      DISCIPLINE:

-Discipline is the glue that binds a good unit together.

-Produces the mental and physical toughness that wins on the battlefield.

-Discipline is a 24-hour a day mindset.

c.      PROFICIENCY: We are in the business of fighting and winning wars. Soldering is not an amateur sport.  It is a profession that requires those that practice it to be technically and tactically proficient, mentally, physically, and emotionally fit, and possess the Warrior Ethos.

c.       TEAMWORK:   An infantry company is a 100-man team. Nothing brings a unit together like mission accomplishment.  Together, the officers and NCO's of this unit will develop a winning team of disciplined, physically fit, and motivated warriors.  I will take my guidance from the Battalion Commander, and together, the leaders of this company will accomplish the mission by careful planning, violent execution, and ensuring all Bushmasters have the discipline, motivation, and level of physical fitness to perform the tasks that will ensure mission success.  We win together!

4.     Leadership, discipline, proficiency, and teamwork—these are the qualities of outstanding units. They are principles I believe in. The end results of their application are tough, bold, confident, and highly trained soldiers who will win on any battlefield against any foe.

JUST REMEMBER THIS:

WHAT EVER IT TAKES

THE REAL HEREOS OF THIS COUNTRY ARE THE PEOPLE WHO BELIEVE IN IT, FIGHT FOR IT, DEFEND IT, AND RISK EVERYTHING TO PROTECT IT.

BRAVO COMPANY YOU ARE THOSE HEREOS!!!!!!!!

BUSHMASTERS!
