Joe’s extended family lives in Western Pennsylvania and Karen’s is in Indiana. We see both families once a month. Joe’s family has a cabin at a ski resort where we will take our child for fun family weekends, skiing and snowboarding. In the summer, we spend time at Karen’s parent’s lake house in Northern Indiana. We look forward to spending long summer weekends teaching our children to tube and water ski. Karen’s favorite activity is roasting marshmallows around the campfire at night. Every Easter, both families come to our house. Our child will have fun looking for eggs with his or her cousins during our greatly anticipated Easter Egg Hunt. One great grandmother, 4 grandparents, 6 aunts and uncles, along with our 9 nieces and nephews, are eagerly waiting to welcome the newest family member!
In addition to snow skiing and boating, we enjoy traveling, roller-blading, reading, taking long walks with our dogs, watching movies, gathering around the dinner table with friends, and playing board games. Expanding what we do for fun as our child introduces us to his or her hobbies will be a joy.
