| Not a club or an organization, just a statement. I guess I've got a little different view of politics than a lot of people, even bikers. I believe that the Right to Ride was mine at birth, i.e. the pursuit of happiness. I believe that this right and too many others deemed self evident and unalienable, by our forefathers, are being or have been legislated away. Why can't we go back to the 10 Commandments and the Golden Rule. Or, for those of you that don't believe in divine intervention, the Bill Of Rights. Why do we, as a nation, elect lawyers to be legislators? This is the single, most outrageous, conflict of interest issue that I can think of. I don't think we should make a law against it, I think that we should just stop it. Have these legislators never read the Declaration Of Independence, the Constitution, and the Bill of Rights? What caused the colonist to declare independence? Read the Declaration Of Independence. What justified that declaration? "But when a long train of abuses and usurpations, pursuing invariably the same Object evinces a design to reduce them under absolute Despotism, it is their right, it is their duty, to throw off such Government, and to provide new Guards for their future security." I don't think that we've come to the point that would justify armed revolution, but I do think that "it is our right, it is our duty" "to provide new Guards" for our future security. I think that we need to stop electing lawyers to be legislators. I think that we need to repeal laws, not enact new ones. I respect what motorcycle rights organizations are trying to do but they, in my opinion, expend too many resources in trying to negate prior legislation with another law. Have you ever seen the written tax code? How could anyone possibly know how much tax they are suposed to pay? I'm not sure we legally have to pay income tax at all. Why do I pay state and federal tax on cigarettes and then pay state and local tax on, not only the product but on the taxes I paid? Why do I pay federal and state tax on alcohol and then pay state and local tax on, not only the product but on the taxes I paid? We need to wake up people and do something about these usurpations!!! Thus.....Bikers for the Repeal of All Worthless Laws Not a club or a organization, just a statement. Anyone interested in wearing a BRAWL patch can email me and I'll see about getting them made. Anyone wanting to help pay for them could also email me. [email protected] Ride like you want to ride tomorrow!! Rover P.S. Thanks to Shelby for correcting my spelling. I stand corrupted!!! HEHE |
