Jezebel told me some time ago that she met Jonathan. Actually, she was the one to give me the idea to create this section. It's only fitting that the first interview of this nature be with her. To read Jezzi's regular interview, Go Here.
Question: Recently, you met him in real life. How did you reach the decision
to meet him?
Jezebel: Well, he lives in NC and I live in Ohio...he was going to a convention in
Indianapolis and suggested that we could meet while he was that close...I
decided that yes, I definitely wanted to meet him, but preferred to meet him in
NC and get to know each other first, rather than meet him while he was basically
on a business trip with his coworkers....
Question: Where did you stay while you visited him?
Jezebel: We stayed at a beautiful bed and breakfast in his home town...it was a wonderful
place!
Question: How did the meeting go?
Jezebel: Well....it went great actually...it was a very loooooong drive..and I was
exhausted!...he had my favorite beer on ice waiting for me...I drank like, half
of one...and basically fell asleep! He was a perfect gentleman the whole
weekend....we went to UNC campus on Saturday and had a lovely time, even though
it was raining...and he fed me good! If anyone is ever in Chapel Hill, NC...I
have to insist that you eat at The Ramstead Rathskellar....they make lasagna to
die for!!
Question: You know I have to ask.... did you have sex with him?
Jezebel: Nope...my fault, not his...I chickened out, basically...I really don't know what
else to say at this point...so I think I will just move on to the next q......no
wait...we had a great time together...it just didn't lead in that
direction....we were more instant good friends instead of instant lovers....he
is the most polite and kind man I think I have ever met....there was no
pressure...he did however get a mean backrub from me....*grin*...and we slept
well....
Question: Would you recommend to anyone else meeting their online lovers?
Jezebel: This is a tough question to answer....I had friends that
were supportive of my decision to meet him and I had friends who were convinced that I wasn't
coming back alive...and you hear about these young kids taking off to meet someone from
the net....and as a mother, that would scare me to the point of.....I dunno
what!..I took a big chance and relied on my judgement...which obviously if you
read my interview with you...isn't always that reliable...I was lucky, real
lucky...and I would never do it again...meeting someone alone...never...I think
odds against being that lucky again are just too high!...That's why I was leery
about answering these...on the one hand I want to talk about what a great time I
had...but I don't know who will be reading this and say..."Cool...I should do
that!"...there should definitely be some kind of disclaimer about this part of
the interview, you know?
Question: Do you have any practical suggestions for someone planning this type
of meeting?
Jezebel: Meet in Groups!...The more, the merrier!...Like July
4th for instance...somehow a party got started and there are quite a few chatters coming to Cincy that
weekend...and I'm hoping to meet some people that I have grown to love in
here...but one on one...is not a good idea...it just isn't.....
Question: And finally... would you do this sort of thing again?
Jezebel: If I could, I would love to be able to meet everyone I
am close to in here...It was great to see places I never thought I would see...I haven't experienced
much of the States and have never been to Canada...but I feel I could because I have
friends that live in all these places!..but once again...I would never go
alone...maybe to meet a female...maybe....but not a man....cuz no matter what,
you just never ever know how a person can be irl....and life is way too
important to me than to risk it..I have two beautiful children to take care
of...and I wanna be a feisty granny someday...still chatting of course!...and
before you ask, yes, I will give you the exclusive of the party in July...unless
you would care to join us as well!...*grin*
