First, my funeral expenses and last debts are to be paid out of proceeds of my estate.

To my daughter Jane McClintock, I hereby give and bequeath one bedstead and bedding. To my daughter Adeline McClintock I give and bequeath the bed in which I lie, together bedstead and bedding, I also bequeath to her such other property I have remaining in city of Philadelphia.

To my sons John and Wm. McClintock I allow the privilege of selecting such of my carpenter and farmer tools as they may wish to take at the appraised value, and to be such part of their portion to be charged to them, and deducted on final distribution.

My real estate I hereby order and direct my executor to sell either at public or private sale (at his discretion) in such was as he may think most advantageous for the benefit of the estate. All the residue of my personal property (excluding apparel excepted) I direct and order to be sold at public auction, and after the provision herein before made have been complied with, it is my will that all remaining balance of proceeds of my estate to be divided equally amongst each and all of my children and lastly, I hereby constitute and appoint Wm. Clark, of county aforesaid, executor of this my last will and testament, in witness whereof, I have hereunto set my hand and seal on August 2, 1839. Signed: Joseph A. McClintock
