the Philadelphia Public Ledger dated Sept. 30, 1839 says of Joseph : "On the 9th inst. at his residence in Scipio, La Porte Co., Indiana, after a long and painful illness, aged 59 years, JOSEPH A. McCLINTOCK, formerly of this city." My records showed Joseph born in 1787 but if the notice is correct he would have been born in 1780. |
