The information should be presented in a format in which the sender's message is clearly understood. Technologies such as cellular phones and the Internet allow people to send information around the world in a matter of seconds. They also permit people to send and receive information from any location. Information technology is important for both businesses and personal use. Technology provides businesses with many options for handling transactions. Businesses can easily exchange information through the use of technology. In addition, they use information technology for data storage and to make their tasks less time consuming. In the future, the need to share information will continue to drive technological advancements. New technologies are invented daily to make life for all people easier. As technology advances, it will be important to make improvements throughout the world. Currently, many countries are much more advanced than others. Therefore, the problem of the digital divide must be handled to make communications easier in all countries with all types of economies. When taken advantage of, information technology provides a world of opportunity.

Online portfolios showcase work and provide a place to store projects. If a person creates and maintains an online portfolio, the portfolio will clearly show the growth in skills and personal development since the original works.

My Portfolio:My portfolio demonstrates the skills I have learned and my goals for the future. My target audience includes technology companies and the students and faculty of the University of Houston. This portfolio communicates my plans for the future, my skills, my educational and work history, and other information. The purpose is to communicate the type of job I am looking for and provide information for possible employers. By having all of this information online, the information can be easily accessed by a larger audience.
