Agnes and Daniel divorced and Agnes later married John Gay of Manito, IL Nov 25, 1916 in Manito, IL. Agnes worked for years as a nurse in the Manito area. My mother remembers her keeping a suitcase with uniforms and all necessary items packed and ready to go at any time at short notice. The doctor would pick her up and take her with him to attend the birth and she would usually stay on in the home and care for the mother and baby. She kept a photo album and record of the hundreds of babies that she cared for.
