The
Seasons of Arnold's Apple Tree |
| |
After we read this book by Gail Gibbons
the students create an apple tree for each season. They
paint the branches on heavy paper and use tissue paper
squares to make the leafs. They make apples using beads. |

Apple Addition |
| |
By this time of the year the students are
expected to be able to write addition sentences. For this
activity the kids draw red and green apples on trees and

Apple Addition Sentences in Kid Pix |
| |
I make two versions of the template for
this lesson. In one I provide the entire addition sentence,
with the answers included and another without the answers.
The students use apple stamps to make pictures to match
each sentence and, if needed, answer the question. |
