We read this book the first week of school.
We talk about how the little engine was able to do a lot
because he thought he could. After we read the kids write
about something they hope to be able to do in first grade.
We make their pages into a class book. |

We make graphs of the students hair and
eye color, number of people in their family and their
favorite foods and colors. |

| Social Studies: |
We finish our "All About Me" Unit
by creating a book about ourselves. This year we will
be creating a time line (with our parents help!) of our
lives so far. |
