We first met JJ in 1992. We had bought a small bar in Fairbury, Wild Willie's, in 1991 and JJ was the first entertainer that we had ever had. Before that time, local bars weren't having entertainment. Now the majority of small bars in the county offer bands, singers or DJ's on a regular weekend basis. JJ was the beginning of this.
It's been a long time since we've had him come to perform, but he never once through the years forgot to send a birthday card for both of us.
We knew JJ as an awesome singer and a very gentle and caring man. He touched the hearts of many and left a lot of love and compassion behind him. He has left us with some great memories and we'll never forget him.
