A story behind my Photography Voyage.
My interest in photography started when I had been to a friends' Sister's wedding ceremony several years back. My friend wanted me to take pictures of that special occasion. Even though I didn't know how to take pictures, I still went ahead. I remember it was a Yashica Auto camera and he gave me three rolls of Konica films. Actually my friend asked me to shoot pictures because I use to paint and draw pictures in school and I am quite good at it. That's why he thought; I do have some sense of composing a picture. On that wedding I exposed three rolls of films. Wedding was over and three rolls of exposed film got developed and printed. Surprisingly pictures came out very good and everyone appreciate the pictures. And this little appreciation became the beginning of my photography love story.

Photography interest gradually generated and I would then borrow camera from my friends. I never owned a camera till then. I started clicking camera and keep learning more and more. I went to libraries and read books on photography. Through Internet I have gained tremendous knowledge on photography. Fortunately a friend of mine (Madhu Acharya) who was enrolled to New York Institute of Photography for correspondence course on photography shared his course materials to me, which include textbook, audio and videocassettes. This helped me a lot to understand basic of photography step by step and has broaden my photography horizon. I am really thankful to this friend of mine who generously shared me everything from his correspondence course.

Besides books and Internet, photography exhibitions inspire me tremendously. There are so many wonderful photographers around. Of course, improvement happens on a daily basis. As you live, You learn!. And not to forget that one is never perfect. You live and learn.

Today standing this far on my photography voyage I feel very proud to be a photographer and help people to see world with a different perspective. It's always an honor to capture people's special moments like weddings, birthdays, childhood or just any memorable moment of their life. I get enormous high.. like when my work brings happiness to people. It's really good to see people happy. Still there are so much to do and achieve. I still think I am a drop in the oceans. I really do.
