This is part of the set of layouts I scrapped for my May 2003 vacation to visit Washington, DC. The left page has journaling on it with a couple of embellishments, and the right side has a "garden" of quilled flowers with the poem "Friendship's Flower" (because I was on vacation with a friend). Only the right side of this layout has quilling on it, but I put them both up so that you can see the entire layout as it was meant to be seen.
This was only the second project I had ever done with quilling in it, the first being a very simple card. It was quite an undertaking to tackle an entire layout of quilling as a beginner, but I feel it really gave me a good foundation for learning the basics of the craft. And by the time this page was finished, I was hooked on quilling! |
