| This gate scene has been posted by many Herzo Hero troops. This was my first view of Herzo Base, 10-48 and last view of this gate upon my DEROS departure of ASAEurope, 6-50. It had changed little if any. |

| June 1950 DEROS ASA troop, and friends bidding goobbye, out side 114th Sig Svc Co barracks. Some I recoginze and remember: Don Cullen, Texas, Maxwell, Ludwig Heilmier, Smith. Sgt Waldvogel in fatigues. Don Cullen viewed this site 10-30-02 remembers these folk as well or better than me - says his buddy Jim Skiles is in the photo - I do not know which. Don and Heilmier were room-mates at Herzo. |
