Bob Jordon is an old friend of ours from Lincoln. He has been flying Radio Controled planes for a number of years. He joined a club down here after he retired to Sun City. Their field is just a short distance west of here. He took me out one morning to watch him fly and he is quite good at it although he is reluctant to admit it.
I'd love to be able to do this, but I'm afraid my coordination is not what it use to be. I'd also have trouble telling if I were coming or going ( you have to switch your perspective as the plane flys to and from you). Of course a lot of people tell me I don't know if I'm coming or going anyway.
There is an RC boat racing club in our park and I thought I might join that. They use any one of the several lakes in the park. That way the most that could happen is I might get my feet wet.
