Carlsbad Caverns are the largest known Caverns in the world. They may not be as pretty as some we have seen, but they are magnificient in their size. We took the elavator down to the "Big Room". It was a 750 foot ride straight down. You can also walk down through the main opening. This opening is also where the bats come out each evening just before sun down. Half a million come out in about 20 minutes. You can watch them from the amphitheatre built at this opening.
The main "room" is huge. It took us about two hours to walk around it.
There are smaller side rooms all over the place, and two levels.
I think,after two hours, Courtney had enough caves.
