We left New Braunfels and headed for AZ. On our way we saw TWO beautiful rainbows. We were hoping this was a good omen. As it turned out that wasn't necessarily so.
Our first stop in AZ. was at Picacho Peak. It's a very beautiful park and the site of the western most battle of the Civil War. The Mexican Golden Poppies were just starting to bloom.
While at Picacho we also visited an Ostrich farm (Picacho Peak is in the background)
We left Picacho and headed for Phoenix. We stayed a week in Apache Junction where we spent some time with our son Ric and his friend Amy.
