We left Picacho and headed for Phoenix. We stayed a week in Apache Junction where we spent some time with our son Ric and his friend Amy.
We then moved on to the Sun City area to visit a few more friends and Dianne's brother Bud and some of his family.
On Wednesday the 24th of January we had dinner with the Jordans, old friends of ours. When we got back to the trailer Jim began to feel a little ill. At 5:00am the next morning Dianne drove him to the Emergency Room at Del Web hospital. At 5:00pm they took out his appendix.
He expected to be out in 2 or 3 days. He was there for 8 days instead because they had a little trouble getting his intestines working right again.
When he finally did get out we moved back to Apache Junction and did a little sightseeing while he recuperated.
