Rakers' page 22

Laughlin Nevada is a small Las Vegas. We got a certificate for three free nights from a Casino school we attended in Casa Grande. We stayed at the Pioneer Motel. We left our trailer in El Mirage and took off for Laughlin.

They were having a UFO Conference and Convention while we were there. We visited the exibit hall in the hotel that was hosting it and listened to some really weird people. This is what was in front of the hotel.

The quickest way to get from one hotel to another was the water taxi. These were small boats that traveled up and down the river. Most of the hotels were right on the river.

Just noth of Laughlin is Davis Dam and Lake Mohave. It is just a short distance down stream from Hoover Dam. It is amazing how they can continue to use the flow on the Colorado River to generate power over and over as it moves down stream. Each Dam is preceeded by another beautiful lake.

Even the Dam and power plant are breathtaking.
