Needles is about 30 miles south of Laughlin. In the summer you often will see it on the weather as having the highest temperture in the nation for that day. We went there to visit George and Norma Sonenberg friends who were staying at a park on the river.

George and Norma took us to a little town called Oatman. It was a blast! When the wild donkeys in the surrounding hills see the tourists collecting in town they wander down to mooch carrots (which all the store owners sell). Dianne kindly obliged them.

The donkeys take over the town. Here are a couple directing trafic (as you can see they are not very good at this task).

We also took a short side trip down to Lake Havasu City. Several years ago they moved the original London Bridge here from London England. Jim had crossed the bridge, for the first time, in England back in 1959.
