The White Tank Mountains are just west of the Phoenix area. There is a waterfall there (when it rains) that has eroded a hollow in the rock below. This hollow holds a pool of water (the White Tank) where Native Americans often camped. Hence the name White Tank Mountains.
The Jordens invited us to go on a picnic at the park. While Dianne and Lou prepared lunch - -

Jim and Bob played in the rocks.

Bob found a very interesting petroglyph.

The trails in the park were very well marked and enjoyable to walk.
