| Wish FM's Local Heroes award. Achiever of the Year |
| Every year our local radio station Wish FM gives out prestigious awards to people who have achieved through their own determination certain things that normally we would take for granted. This year at Hindley Karate Club we have a member that has done just that. Her name is Kayleigh Brown. Despite her Cerebral Palsy she has obtained her Purple Belt in Karate. Being her instructor I can see the effort and her never give in attitude to the training she is put through. |
| It takes a special kind of person to do what she has achieved. At our club she doesn't complain she just gets on with it and is treated like any other student. |

| Right: Here is Kayleigh with her award with some members of our club. We are all very proud of her. It just shows that no matter what you think you cannot achieve, if only you would put your mind to it, you would go some way to either achieve it or go so close that it doesnt matter. Always if you can, find some thing positive in things you do every day, no matter how small it is. |
| Final Word. No matter how bad things seem, don't suffer alone talk to someone. I am sure that people will listen and try to help. Sometimes you just need to talk, have a laugh have a moan doesn't matter, don't bottle it in. Make yourself heard. |
