This page is designed to demonstrate the part time gig my uncle has in his retirement: he is a magician. His name is Dana, so he has taken the stage name Houdana.

In developing this site, I had to decide 3 things:

1. What theme the site should have?
2. What content should be on it?
3. What type of media should be on the site?

I decided pretty early on that photos and videos would be best, and thankfully he has a collection of videos from over the years, which he uploaded to Youtube. He also had a collection of photos he shared as well.

From there, I decided what theme to use with the site, and I considered his target audience when coming up with the design. His target audience are parents of children, businesses, and schools. As a result, a professional-looking site with legible fonts, and neutral colors seemed best. In consulting with my Uncle, he agreed.

With that in place, I just had to fill in the gaps with content, and his history working with magic magazines, and the like, allowed past copy to be updated and used on the site here. Adding the images to the home page allowed the site to present a professional image right up front.

The next steps for this site will be to optimize it for mobile (something I have already basically done by using the bootstrap library - check out Houdana.com to see how I've implimented this so far.
