~On Motherhood~

Motherhood is such

a special thing.

Awesome sight as in

the world they bring

a newborn child

to fill a destiny.

It happened to you

and it happened to me.

I am a man and

I have a plan I know;

but, I have no womb

for a miracle to grow.

A newborn child lies

on a mother's chest

and suckles nourishment

from her breast.

What a marvelous feeling

it must be

to be this channel

in God's eternity.

The child sleeps

on it's mother's arm

all safely snuggled

and away from harm.

Where nothing was

a short time ago

she has with her now

a miracle to grow.

I have never seen

a more beautiful sight

than a mother and child

asleep at night.
