About Us 
JimJan Shelties came into existence about ten years ago when we wanted to show. Our children had grown up with Shelties as pets. Since our children and grandchildren do not live in the area, the beloved Shelties are OUR children.
I am a very small time breeder by having one or two litters a year. I have each color - sable/white, tris, and blue merles. All of my dogs live in our house and since I am retired they have the freedom to be in and out.
My bitches are all tested for OFA, eyes certified and thyroid. The dogs we keep are always tattooed with the AKC registration number. My puppies are not sold until they are eight weeks of age and after a vet check to make sure they are healthy before they go off to a new environment. All pets are sold on a Spay/Neuter contract with limited registration.
I have been fortunate to have four Sheltie champions and one Havanese champion.
I am a member of A.S.S.A. as well as the Potomac Valley Shetland Sheepdog Club of Virginia.
