Ascencio Constancio(a) came from Bexar, it was believed that he had come from Zaragoza, but he married Faviana Rubio in San Fernando de Bexar on August 19, 1854.

Ascencio was among the settlers from Jiménez who went with Yrineo Casillas to found the villa de Las Vacas in 1877.

He later appears in Del Rio, Texas in the Val Verde census of 1910.
