Something stuck in my mind. I experienced 3 emergencies situations and all of them have the same things. Not so many people take it as an emergency situation and some people tend to do the DON'Ts. Good thing that all of them were not so serious. First was my very first visit to US. My auntie and I were staying in Anaheim as a part of our tour. That night, I experienced my first earthquake. I grew up in Jakarta, I never know how earthquake feels like. Once or twice, we did have tiny eartquake..it's when you see things vibrate, but nothing major. My aunt and I (included some of the other hotel guests) TOOK the lift to go down stair. Now, when I remember that night, I just can't believe how stupid we were. Second time was a false alarm in my dorm when I was studying in Switzerland. I was awaken by the loud funny noise that wouldn't stop. I opened my door and realized that was the fire alarm but nobody was in the hallway. So I woke my room mate up and knocked the room across my room. All of us went to the lobby and it turned up that a drunk student broke one of the fire alarm. The third was the story from 2 days ago. They made me realized that most of the people do the "don'ts" instead of the "dos".

Today, I brave myself and took a bus to downtown. I called Hyatt on Monday  and found out that they have an opening for the position I want so I need to apply for it soon before it get filled just like what happened with the last one I applied to.. I don't feel too safe walking around the downtown here alone but I need a job so bad. A funny looking man tried to intimidate me in front of the hotel and he asked if I was lost when I was at the back of the hotel looking for the entrence to the human resource's office. Gezz, he seemed to be everywhere I go. The reason why I don't like walking around there alone is because of my size. I am so small comparing to most of the people here although I know that I am capable of taking care of myself (with my Kung Fu fighting) :-o) I still prefer to stay out of trouble. anyway, I am glad that everything went out smoothly so far and all I need to do is to wait. I might takes 10 business days, I was informed. We was told that our relative who works in the Capitol Hill ( I think) is ok. But still my heart goes to the family whose dear ones are still missing. I still have a high hope that more people will be found alive...Let us all pray for that and for the family of the victims, God Bless America!
It seems so unreal. I remember waking up by phone rings. It was Brian asking me to turn the tv on and watch the news. I couldn't believe my eyes. They were showing a plane crushed into WTC in NYC and followed by another plane. It was horrible but I thought at least the firemen went there so fast and hopefully could save most of the people. Just right after I thought about it, tower 2 collapsed followed by tower 1.. My heart and hopes sunk with them. It was a very sickening scene to watch helpless people jumped from those high building and seeing the rescue teams went to help people just seconds before the buildings collapsed. I don't know if this wound will recover.

Today, a tragedy happened in America. 2 cormecial planes struck the World Trade Center, one crushed into a part of Pantagon and another one fell somewhere in pennsylvania.
