It was 2 in the morning and It was raining hard. The rain feels good after a long-hot summer weeks. I was still in front of the computer doing my online typing course and feeling a little bit nervous from the thunder and lightning. I always hate thunder and lightning since one time, about 10 years ago, a huge string of lightning came through my room's window. It freaked me out and made me jumped to my sister's bed. From that time on, I always sneaked into my sister's side with rubber sandals on my feet whenever there was thunder and  lightning.Call me Rose from the Golden Girls, but I somehow thought that if I was wearing rubber things, I couldn't get struck by lightning.:-o) This was my first heavy rains with lots of thunder and lightning going on without my sister :-o) I feeled very unsecure.
I was thinking if I should turn the computer off but I was so into the typing exercise. I wanted to wake my husband up but Brian needed the sleep. So there I was, nervously doing my typing exercise, without rubber sandals on my feet, praying that the lightning would just go away fast. But, nature could never be predicted...it became worse and I started to count the 'one missisipi, two missisipi,.' thing that my husband told me on how the american does to count how close is the lightning.
I didn't have to say the missisipi to know that the lightning were here. Suddenly thing just got worse, something was making a loud noise, gosh, it was our apartment's fire alarm. I didn't know what it was at the beginning, good thing my brain still work :-o) First thing I did was to open the door trying  to see if anyone in the hall, any smoke, any fire, just anything that could make sense to why the fire alarm went off. Nothing but the round red thing making big RING...RING...noise on the top of the wall across our apartment. I woke my husband up, told him that the fire alarm went off and he went downstair to check what was going on while I was trying to remember where I put our important documents and valuable things. Just could't remember where.
2 minutes later, the fire department's trucks arrived. Good thing that we live so close to them. The alarm went off and my husband came back and told me that the lightning must somehow triggered the alarm.  The thunder and  lightning were gone by that time. I continued my typing course and 2 hours later, the alarm went off again. The fire department came again and the whole scene repeated. Only this time the 5 % of the people who live in this apartment didn't gathered again. This time only about 1 %. My husband showed the firemen the basement where the alarm located the problem was. No fire, just a pool of water.....

As the result of last night chaos, my husband had a difficulty in waking up for work. Guess what? It happened again at 12 midnight, today. This time, there was no rain at all and I wasn't nervous. I did what I was doing with my computer and watched the firemen arrived from our windows. My husband went down to the entrance again though and got to show them the basement again since noone was there.
Our sister in-law, Niki went to the hospital this morning. We will have another nephew anytime soon. I was so excited. This baby will be our second nephew.

Niki gave birth last night at 8 an they named him 'Andrew'. Since I don't have a US driver license (yet), I have to wait for one of my in-law to pick me up so I can see our new nephew. Guess, I'll do that tomorrow. Hopefully no alarm goes off tonight. I have been wondering why my sister didn't email me at all. Geez, she must be very busy. She works for a resort in Bali that will be opened soon. I just wondering how things going on there. If anyone rent the rooms and who were they, how were their stays, how is Fey, our golden retriever, if our maid is doing allright, all those stuff. Waiting is never a great thing to do, huh!
