| SOUTH ATTLEBORO, MA- It was an eventful 2005 Draft Day to say the least. A no-show by one of the owners forced six high-value players back into the draft pool, then confusion between the three price guides and which one was being used, concluded by the rush of middle infielders going early in the draft. One of the top-rated rookies in the draft went earlier than most expected. Dallas McPherson was the 76th pick in the 7th Round, suprising most who has them on their radar. Nick Swisher was another high-ranked player expected to make a big impact for his team this year. Swisher was the 133rd pick in the 12th Round. | is still a bunch of notables bound to see significant playing time. It always gets challenging though when trying to find the "diamond in the rough" as most owners will tell you. It tends to get repetitive, but keeping track of the latest up-and-coming players always helps increase your fantasy odds. Draft Day usually isn't the "end-all be-all" for a fantasy season, but drafting a dynamite team doesn't hurt either. |
