We often look through windows to the past
And wonder if someone somewhere will ever hold you close
But for reasons we will not ever understand
You cannot yet begin to trust your heart which hurt you most
So we hide behind walls we built to keep out all the pain
And start to forget the way it feels to fall in love again

We need to know that we're not alone
Inside this place that heals hearts without a home
Because just outside there's something more
There's hope out here when you open this door
