Okefenokee Swamp

This was a really fun trip.  We launched from the Stephen Foster State Park just north of Fargo, Georgia and Paddled to Mixon's Hammock, an island in the middle of the swamp that we had all to ourselves.  On the second day, we paddled from our Camp at Mixon's Hammock to Billy's Island and back to our Camp and stayed a second night.  It was a real adventure.  We were able to see literally hundreds of Alligators, thousands of birds of all kinds, several river otters, and we even had some visitors to clean up our leftovers in camp each night.

If you hold your mouse over some of the pictures you will get to see still a few more.
