PART #2 "STRAIGHTEN UP OR DIE"
"God's criteria for government".
The answer is a simple one if you just read the scripture and think about it for a moment, even a child can understand it!!!!!
God gave the (any) Government two and only two responsibilities, To be terror to EVIL,and protector of Righteousness, You find that in Romans 13:3-4." For rulers are not a terror to good works, but to evil .(works). Do that which is good and thou shalt have praise of the same. For he is the minister of God to thee for good, But if thou do that which is evil be afraid for he beareth not the sword in vain. For he is the minister of God ,a revenger to execute wrath upon him that doeth evil"
Are there governments in the world that are a terror to Good works???? But not evil!!!! Are there governors where you would be afraid for your life if you preached the Gospel in their country.and condeemed sin and their evil ways. The answer is "YES" Then I say to you they are not ordained of God !!!!!! or if they are they are like Balaam, they are not doing what God God commanded them to do, and should be disobeyed and removed from office. Christians who blindly obey these kind of people will be punished by God as was Israel..
There are laws on the books now and in effect in some of our United States of America, where you can not call abortion murder, or you can not preach against the homosexual lifestyle, and Most preachers quit calling abortion murder. When they pass a law against preaching the Gospel , in our churches are you going to quit preaching, You say well it will never come to that in America, Don't you be fooled by such a statement, Right now they have passed that same law in Jacksonville Fla. and Chattanooga Tn. You can be put in Jail for preaching on the street corner. Don't you think it is about time someone stood up and said ENOUGH. When any government or governor moves out side the two duties that God has given them, Then they are usurping powers God reserved to the individual , family and church and preacher. That old saying ,That we must obey the laws of the land, what ever that is?? is a lie, Ever time the court burps they belch and cry "It is The law of the land"
People do not even understand that the courts cannot legally make laws. They are to determine if a law has been broken and then find and set a penalty for breaking that law. Legislation decreed by a court is not a law, it is law breaking and criminal activity. Those people who say we must obey every kind of Government never stop to think of where we would be today if George Washington and our forefathers would have obeyed instead of taking up arms and fighting against the LEGAL GOVERNMENT During the revolutionary war. And I say if we keep going the way we are now in this present time we will either do one of two things, we will lose our freedom or we will stand up and fight a so called legal government. The government has people in such a place now they are afraid to do what they know in their hearts that God wants them to do. I am reminded of Paul and Silas when they were arrested for preaching the Gospel and put in the jailhouse God sent his angel and freed them for Jail and they went right back on the courthouse steps and started preaching again.they did not quit. Jesus never quit ,or obeyed the government, if he had We would all be still lost and in our sins and headed for hell.
People cannot seem to realize that their principles must apply to all times and all places. The principles of God's word was Good for them in the revolutionary war it is the same today. OH!!! you say But the times have changed, yes you are right , BUT GOD"S WORD HAS NOT The government right now are making up their own rules as they go and no one is objecting, you say we need to get back to the old paths. Praise the Lord I agree, no place in the 1800's have I heard or found where the people had to get a permit or permission from the government to build a church. or to do something on his own property. There was a lot of people martyred in that time for taking a stand on what they believed in. We as Christians need to accept the unchanging principles and laws of the word of God for time and eternity. I think of Bro Lester Roloff He fought the government of Texas for years, and I don't know if he ever got a permit for his homes.
In The Millennium There will be Perfect law and Perfect Order, Psalms 1:1-2 tells us the Godly man does not accept the ways ,attitudes and thoughts and methods of the UNGODLY "For his delight is in the law of the Lord.And in his law doeth he mediate both day and night. That means that a godly person will attempt to see all things from God's point of view. When we hear of something happening in our country, if you,we are Godly, we will view it as God views it, we will have God's opinion about crime,property rights,law,justice,national alliances we will call sin "SIN" as God calls it.
When was the last time you heard the word "SIN" used by the media on Television unless the concept of sin was being ridiculed. Television and other media do not give you God's point of view on anything, It is the view of what most men want to see, and believe. Just like the other night I heard some one talking about the T.V and the computer, how sinful they were, and they are if that is what you like to see and do with them but if you want to use them for good you can, The prophet is in control of the spirit. no matter what. that is one of God's laws we have forgotten was in the book. you can turn the T.V. off if you don't like what you see, and you can use your computer to spread the gospel to a lost and dying world. But if you are going to run and hide overtime the devil barks at you , then yes they are sinful instruments in the hands of the devil. "A friend doesn't let a friend drive drunk," Why don't they say Boozing is wickedness. If you have a friend who is an alcoholic ,find another friend or you will become a sot like him.
Something to Ponder. If you have a computer or a typewriter that has a spell checker. try finding words like wickedness or unrighteous, or iniquity, or other similar words in them , they are not there unless you put them there. Why?? Because our humanist society does not recognize such negative words as being useful, They only want you to Know positive words. This is one of the devils tricks to undermine our young people. even Preachers of to day some only Preach that Jesus Loves and that is his only attribute, They never tell them He is also a God of Judgement, and they need to "Straighten up or die" Jesus Loves everybody so much that he died on the cross for their sin. That is as far as universal love goes, if you do not accept him as savior you will die in your sin and go to a devils hell. Hell is full tonight of people whom Jesus loved and Gave himself for, why????because of rejection, and our society today doesn't tell people the truth.
Next time we will look at the Millennium Kingdom and what is in store for those who Love God . now I am reminded of two verse for that kingdom found in Isiah 65,21-22,
They shall build house and inhabit them, and they shall plant vineyards and eat the fruit of them. 22, They shall not build and another inhabit, they shall not plant and another eat, For as a the days of a tree are and the days of my people and mine elect shall long enjoy the work of their hands. God's people shall not labor in vain. in others words they will not lobar just to support a corrupt government.
