Asahikawa

This city so reminded me of Texas--big, frontier, and layed back, OUTGOING people. It was great. I met up with a couple of American college friends and we went up in the mountains to soak in the hot springs.
Kimochi!!!

My friend Kazumi lived up near Asahikawa, so she and a friend took me out. At this guys little eatery I got a taste of 50s--Japan style. He had the car, the hair--heck, even the Burmuda shirt. Really a nice guy though!

"Thank you, thank you very much."
Man, if this kid didn't have the Elvis impression down yet, you sure had to give him credit for trying!!!
