In Ms. Mayo's Cyber-english class we have done a lot of things such as create our own homepage such as review two books which were The House On Mango Street and Always Running.Besides viewing these two books we made up social action groups having to deal with topics that the students felt needed to be dealt with. The topic for my group was Students Against Teen Violence (SATV), In our group we broke down the different types of teen violence, the topic which I worked on was Gang violence.
I enjoyed making my homepage , all the work we have done in class such as our response to an article about a mothers painful path , I also made a link about my thoughts. Other than the other work in english we also created a hyper-text poem out of a poem title Incident .
Over all I love my english class and my teacher. I feel the computer helps the process of writing eesays better because your usually in a comfortably relaxing mode of concentration, therefore making it easier to write/type work. Some of the main things I really liked about cyberenglish is the fact that we research a lot of interesting topics.
I feel so proud of the work I have done so far because in this class I have learned to do a lot of things I couldn't do before and I am very proud of the work I have accomplished in this class. In the beginning I never felt any resistance to using the computer because I always enjoyed using computers ever since I got one at home. I feel using the internet to do research is not only educational and useful but it is also fun, the internet helps people want to do work becausr of the type of enviornment you are doing your work in.
I feel that i work very hard in this class, and I would deserve anywhere from a 85 to a 90. I try my best to work to the best of my ability with all that i have learned to do my work throughly all the time.
