Page Four : The School
Not much here yet... they are coming. As you will see I have a slightly differnt view of the same place but with two names. I guess it depens on who you talk you, you would get one or the other name for that spot.
Before it was where we ate lunch. We had some kind of trailer thing where we bought lunch and then if you didn't have to go somewhere you sat on the beanches and ate what you just got.
That lovely place up there in the last picture, that has the turtle on it, is our verson of a high life cafe. :) Sun drawn Tea (at least when it started out), cookies, cake and coffee, and homemade icecream is the newest addition, amoung other things. The high life cafe has a few high standards and high price tags too. But they may not be that bad, if you convert it over to US money. The really cool thing about Turtle Jane's (that is the name of the place) is that they have no real waste. They use real cups and plates. It may not sound like much.. but at the time.. it was a big thing. **I'm sorry to say, but Turtle Jane's is no more. I can now buy a sandwich every now and again, but I miss the high air that it use to have. **
Now why do I have a picture of a parking lot??? Well look at what is above it. I have tryed to get a picture of that hill for the longest time, but it never came out right for me. Anyway, for the students who left about 3 semesters ago.. that's a year's time for the rest of you, this is something new for you. **I really should have added dates to these things. Lets say this was posted...2003?
The school has been doing alot of construcstion. Or aleast it was for the four and half years that I have been here. :) ** The construction is still going on. We have one new addion and a few mods on exsiting buildings. Oh, you see that small tree on the right of the picture? It,s still there, but their is a building infront of it now. It's on top of the bulding you are seeing. Teachers live there now. All most of the teachers have now been grouped into buildings by departments now.
