Process
You may ask yourself, “well, how do I get here?” This is how:
- Write down what it is you
would like done to your house.
- Give us a call or drop us
an email to inquire about having some work done.
- We’ll ask you about what
it is that you want to have done. Let us know you have that list and that
you can send it to us.
- We’ll set up a time to
meet with you at your house to discuss what it is you would like to have done
and what is possible.
- After our meeting we will
take your list, along with the notes from the meeting, and write up a set of
“specs” for your job. These specs have a dual purpose.
- 1st The specs spell out
exactly what work will be done on your job.
- 2nd The specs are also
your contract.
- When we have completed
this 1st version of the specs we’ll email them to you. You will
need to review them, and make notes about anything you don’t understand, or
something you don’t want done, or if we missed something. Remember, this
is your contract, and this is the work that you will have done. If you are
confused by anything please ask us to explain.
- Depending on the size of
the job we may have to make edits to the specs and create a new version.
- After we have a final
version of the specs that covers the work you want to have completed both
parties will sign the specs and make this our contract.
- We will also draw up a
payment schedule. (Most jobs require a down payment at the time of the
contract signing.)
- Now the work can begin.
