a post it note saying Ms. Harmon's weekly class newsletter

Monday, April 18th 2005

Dear Students and Parents,

This week we are learning about frogs! We will look at the life cycle of a frog, from when it starts as an egg all the way through when they are a full grown frog. On Thursday, we will have a frog visit our classroom from the Burlington Nature Center. In math, we will be practicing ordinal numbers. We will read about a frog race in Franklin County and we will talk about first, second and third place. In math we will also review shapes. Our spelling words this week will be related to frogs.

Don't forget to bring your permission slip in for the North Carolina Zoo field trip. Permission slips are due May 3rd. Please come join us as our class explores the many animals at the zoo and the habitats they live in. Check our volunteer page for more information.

I hope everyone has been able to get outside and enjoy the beautiful spring weather!

Sincerely,

Ms. Harmon
