AiBIS DESIGN

AiBIS is a Brand inspired from my favorite book, "Stories of Ibis", with the added "A" to pay homage to the main program that I use, Adobe Illustrator. The logos design is also a mix between afountain pen, which represents the Pen tool and a Cursor as that represents the digital aspect of my work, while the cut out portion to convey fountain pen also acts as a Crescent Moon, from the Egyptian God Thoth the god of writing, art and philosphy, as well as being depicted as an Ibis, and represented by the Moon due to the Ibis' crescent beak.

The overall designs and brand choices I've made best reflect the style I find myself creating, which is typically a minimalist approach to icons and symbols that are subtley, often hidden, full of symbolism and other meanings. The Colors I have chosen include Grey as a base to everything, as the neutral Grey is something I deal with everyday at work as a means to measure light temperature and reduce color fatigue from the monitors. The other shades of grey provide coverage in a wide variety of mediums, and the Blue and Purple add a splash of color to my designs, while maintaining the modern style I strive to create.

The fonts I have chosen are Gotham Medium, and Archer Pro Book, while the Logotype I've been developing is based off of a grunge font called Birth of a Hero, but is a custom lettering at this point.
