According to the laws of Pakistan everyone have to pass I.S.S.B. to get senior comission in Pakistan Army and have to pass CSS for Civil Service.

I have made this page for the students and candidates of ISSB. I have experienced to meet many successful guys in issb tests now living in AMCollege and PMA. The test is held twice an year. One gets senior comission in Pakistan Army, Navy and PAF after training if ISSB is passed. Some of its contents are also given to candidates for the selection of Army Medical College Rawalpindi after clearance of entry test. The centres for ISSB are Karachi, Kohat and Gujranwala.

After passing the ISSB you can join one of these institutes (in which one has applied).

Now a few words about couching centres and helping books. All these are useless if you dont have confidence and personality. Theories never makes a man practical unless untill one do things with will power. And for a person who has already courage and confidence never needs these centres and books which destrys their own personality. So never join academies and couching centres but just have courage although you can have guidline from these books.

Eligibility for ISSB test for comission is..

F.Sc. with pre-engineering for any engineering in any core of Army (Engineer Core) , Navy and PAF.
F.Sc. with pre-medical with 70% marks for doctors AMC (Army Medical Core) or ADC (Army Dental Core)
FA / F.Sc. with 50% marks for senior comission as Second Lt, GD Pilot, Naval Officer.
FA / F.Sc. with 50% marks for senior comission in SSG, Artilary, Aviation, and other cores.

Initial Entry test and Interview and Medical tests.
These are very easy to pass and include tests of your own choiced subject in FA/FSc and IQ test is essentail to pass. Then there is an initial interveiw in which no difficult thing is asked.
Then there is an initial medical test including only physical test like Height (min 5'4"), Eyes (6/6 with or without glasses except for GD Pilot where no glasses are allowed), Hernia, Knee knocking, Flat foot etc are checked only.
Most of students pass all of these initial stages so do not consider lucky untill you get a final call letter to join PMA (or anyother institure of your choice)

The following steps are..

Arrival Day

Arival

Go to main hall where

you are alotted the batch numbers.
you fill in a form of personal information.
you submit 40/- rupees
your photos are taken.
your ISSB forms are collected.

Now you are free and can relax in the rooms which are alotted to you. You will be asked for the Lunch and Dinner.

Day 1

Screeing test, which includes IQ test, some objects are shown on screen you have to made sentences in a very short time. ...more
Quiz Test, A written test. Concentrate to have some correct answers instead of have all completed.
Mechanical Aptitute Test, Tests the aptitute of a candidate about machines by a booklet.
Personality Test, its an interview to check your personality. ...more

Day 2

Group disscusstion, you all have to talk on a topic given, you can choose that you'll talk against/far the topic. ...more
Group Planning, a problem will be given to your group and you have to solve that problem on given model e.g. model of an ocean in which there is a sinking ship.
Prograsive Group task, a physical problem or task will be given to you and you have to solve it.
Half Group task, now your group will be divided into two and both halves will be given physical problems to solve.

Day 3

IO (Individual Obstacles), you have to cross physical obstacles in a given time (not for army medical college) ...more
Interview 1, truth is the key to success. ...more
Command task, You will be selected as commander and you have to show your abilities.
Final Group task,

Day 4

Conference,
Re-Interview (if required), only those cadidates who have reasonable chance to success are re-interviewed.
Payment of T.A.D.A., you will be given payment of round about 200/- rupees.
Departure, successful students will be told their results and now you can go back and you will receive call letter for final medical tests.

TIP for screening test.

Make sentences with positive mind and positive thinking.

For example
If a the picture of an ugly man is shown then do not write that he is a terrorist and he is my hero (it shows your negative mindness)

Do test with full concentration and do not afraid of not being completed the test.

Do not talk too much nor too less; talk moderately but justify your opinion with solid reasons.

Try to uderstand the problem on model and give your opinion after a reasonable thinking.

TIP for Progressive Group Task.

You have to show your abilities of command and being commanded.

You have to cross a canal with your group by making a bridge of sticks of smaller length than width of canal.

TIP for individual obstacles.

Try to cross them as hurry as possible and do not afraid of any obstacle even if you are asked to jump from 50m high place into water.

Never try to be over smart.

You will be selected as commander and you have to show your abilities. So to be nice with your fellows but also be a commander. Dont try to become over claver or over confident.

Call Letter
You will get call letter in your home and there in never any successful lists in Army intitutes so do not waste your energies in worring that you have not got result.
And once you have got call letter then be afraid of God and do not proud and also know that what is DRUM OUT?
