It is a great book in urdu literature ever written. "After reading this book a person gets sense." is famous about this book.
This is a bulky book which is also a rare thing in urdu literature. It is all about the life incidents of former Civil Officer Shahab ud Din Shahab.
I remember one of his chapters in which he that told how he did like wife of his teacher in his childhood and fell in love with her. Once his teacher got fever and how did his wife took care of him but soon when he got well but his wife got same fever and he did not even go to her and his wife died with that fever.
Book is full of interesting incidents about his life and other politicians as well. The students of CSS exam must read this book and other sensible and educated people of society have always interest in this book as its all about history and politics of Pakistan including the politics before partition.
This book also very funny and sometimes romantic. Book contains all colours of life.
He wrote about a Hindu girl Chandra Watti. He fell in love with her but soon she died and Shahab wrote his first Afsana (novlet) and it began with
I fell in love with Chandra Watti when today is third day after her death . . . .
He wrote about how cruel Englsih Army was for muslims of India and how they created Problem of Kashmir at time of partition which is still present.
Stories about the Hindu Muslim Fassad (quarrels) and how they were created by Indian Congress.
He wrote about Pakistani politics.
