Who We Are!

Helping hands is a VETERAN run company and was started to help Veterans struggling to pay their bills! Our Mission is to help those that have answered the call of duty and served their nation faithfully. Once all requirements have been met and an interview has been done with the applying Veteran, funds to the accounts on the claim will be sent. At no time will Veterans have to handle any of the finance’s, a representative will be assigned to them. This is not a hand out and every staff member are Veterans themselves, that have been in the same position! Nobody helps Veterans like other’s that have walked in the same boots at home or abroad!

Home of the free, because of the BRAVE!!!

Defense of the Final Product: The design choices I made are based on being a patriot and veteran myself and the colors represent our nation! For every webpage I decided to keep the patriot them, on the Home page it has the seals of each service and the flag to represent the United States. The Veteran page had the same background and the seals were positioned differently so the user would know the page change. The donor page shows fallen soldiers because it shows the sacrifice that was made to build our nation and that the price paid for freedom is larger than any amount of money in the world. The Contact page is just a relaxing page that expresses peace after war. The about page and the choice of background there was that we go above and beyond and there are no limits to what this nation can achieve.

Opportunities for Improvement and Growth: I felt the website had a clear direction to take, to get to the next step. There are choices that I made in the planning phase of this project that never made it in, since I am still new to website design and did not have a clue. I made it as professional as an amateur could make it, I defiantly learned a lot about website design and going forward I would have a better understanding. This website was something I came up with and probably will never use after this class. That is, I would make it over and when I decide to start a website, I will take this experience and build on it. There are so many capabilities for websites today and I have not even seen half of it, when I look at websites like Apple, I now have somewhat of an idea on how much work it takes. You can never have enough planning I have found out!
