Split Second
the timing off
an action forced
by the words of another
a friend's betrayal
destroys a dream
and shatters a world
in one second
true understanding dawns
and reality is seen
no choices left
pain any way
the truth will be known
so a decision made
a lifetime changed
the waiting ends
and so
She walks
away.
